Making commerce more interesting,
with engineering and ideas.

Popaz Inc. is a development company specializing in Shopify.
We take on everything from deciding what should be built to delivering it as working software.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

What we can build and what we should build are not the same.

Technology widens what is possible.
But being able to build something is not a reason to build it.

If standard features are enough, we use them.
If an existing app meets the requirement, we don't develop.
If changing the operation is enough, we don't add a system.
If there is a better fit than Shopify, we propose that instead.

Before deciding what to build, we work out what actually needs solving.
Deciding not to build is part of the engineering too.

WHAT WE SELL

Fewer constraints, more options.

Every e-commerce business runs inside constraints — the platform's specification, the systems already in place, the budget, the size of the team.

We don't use technology to force our way past them. We use it to give the business more options.

Automate what used to be done by hand.
Make a way of selling possible that wasn't before.
Connect systems that don't talk to each other.
And where it is warranted, change the approach altogether.

Using engineering to reduce how often the answer is “this is the only way.”
That is the value we provide.

OUR STANCE

How we work

We think it through until the busywork disappears.

Results show up not in flashy features but in the effort that disappears.
Fewer inquiries. No more manual work. We build the screen details and the operational flow until it gets that far.

We build fast with AI. People make the final call.

We use AI across research, design, implementation and testing, to think faster and wider.
What to adopt and what to discard — and the responsibility for the outcome — stay with us as humans.

We promise follow-through, not speed.

Speed of response alone is not what makes the work valuable. We do the checks that are needed, face problems when they appear, and carry the work through to something you can actually use.
We care more about being trusted over the long term than about being fast in the moment.

We won't become a company that does everything.

We go deep into Shopify engineering. We don't stretch to cover areas — marketing, advertising — where more specialized firms will take you further.
Where those are needed, we work alongside people who are strong in them. Deciding what not to do is how we stay accountable for what we do.

FROM THE FOUNDER

Someone else's problem is what turns building into value.

As a child I was always making things — building with LEGO, soldering circuits, working wood and metal, modifying whatever was lying around to see what it could be made to do. If something caught my interest, I built it and tried it. I wanted to be an inventor.

Then, in junior high, I came across Facebook and The Social Network.
Code written by a single engineer had grown into a service used all over the world.

So this is what invention looks like now.

That was what set me on the path to becoming an engineer. What I pictured back then was building something that would astonish the world one day. But once I actually started working, I found a different kind of interest.

You listen to the problem the person in front of you is facing, work out how it might be solved, and build it. The process itself is absorbing, and when it works, they are glad of it.

Someone else's problem gives the building its direction.
Losing yourself in solving it is what turns it into value for them.

That feeling is where Popaz began.
The name Popaz is a coined word joining “Pop” and “A to Z.” If something interests us, we try it first. That excitement is what the four-pointed star in our logo stands for.

Before astonishing the world, I want to astonish the person struggling right in front of me.

What we can throw ourselves into becomes value for our clients.

Stacking up work like that is what we mean by
